What is life? It is very difficult to explain. But
apparently it seems to be a flow of time with many pleasant and unpleasant
events thrown in to it in individual’s life.
We can not label life’s event as good or bad, pleasant
or unpleasant, but it carries a meaning as we interpret it. I remember one
story. One pious lady was walking down to some village, but before she could
reach her destination it became dark. Poor lady asked for shelter in many
houses, but was unfortunate to get any kind response. So finally in that cold
night she settled under a cherry tree. At midnight she got up shivering with
cold wind to find, the cherry blossoms were looking heavenly with the flooded
moonlight. Nature’s silent beauty took her mind to some heavenly joy and
tranquility, which perhaps she could not have got sleeping under a comfortable
quilt. In the morning she ran to those householders to give them her heartfelt
thanks, who refused to give shelter at night. Apparently the incident will be interpreted
as – people were unkind and selfish so the poor lady had to suffer in cold the
whole night. But the lady interpreted the event in a different way. She thanked
God, and thought, that people really helped her to have divine experience.
Events of life are neither good nor bad; it all
depends on how we interpret it.
Now we see so much injustice is being done everyday in
society, and it is just not possible to say, that the silver lining is shining
behind the dark clouds. How to explain this?
Yes, the appropriate action should be taken for every
wrong deed in the society. But we never know, when things go so wrong may be
morning is not far away. May be every soul is being evolved through the process
of many ups and downs.
No soul is born criminal, but the wrong environment,
wrong tendency, uncontrolled behavior, lack of opportunities tend many to do
wrong deeds.
Life is a mystery. May be today’s dark chapter will
open up a golden age for our country. Life is not a by product. Creator’s
sacred blessings and touch is there in his creation. We should not loose our
faith.
